Welcome to a week of resounding greatness, filled with new and great opportunities. From my last post I asked the question on what you have in your hands? knowing what you have will help you to find your purpose and understand what you need to do. This will help you define who you really are so that when you look at the mirror you will see who you are meant to be, a giant or a puppet?

Roger Williams the famous English Puritan said this ” the greatest crime is not developing your potentials. When you do what you do best, you are helping not only yourself but the world”
Before we can even talk about developing your potentials, you need to find out discover what those potentials are. The question now is how do you discover your potentials or purpose. Potential is defined by the English dictionary as ‘latent qualities or capabilities that can be developed and can lead to future success or usefulness’. Let’s do a little potential test with these questions.
- What is that thing on those things you do effortlessly and enjoy doing it?
- What is the unique thing you do and people will commend you for it?
- What drives or motivates you and you do without expecting reward?
- What ability in you helps you to influence people easily?
If you can answer these questions sincerely, then you are one step closer to discovering your potential. I read a write-up on Thrive Global about your purpose and how you are living it, the questions below were asked and I believed they are similar to the ones I have up there.
- How did you discover your purpose in life or at work?
- How does your sense of purpose drive you every day?
- What do you do in your daily life to keep you aligned with your sense of purpose?
- Have you ever experienced the feeling of a lack of purpose in your life? How did it make you feel and how did you move past it?
Now that we know how to discover our potentials, the next step is developing them, that will be the next write up.
Remember: We are all strangers to our hidden potentials until we confront problems that reveals our capabilities.
