God uses the simple things we have in our hands to transform our lives and touch those around us. The question “what is in your hands” can be rephrased thus; what abilities has God-given you that can help you reach your potential.

When God met Moses in Exodus 4, he asked him what do you have in your hands and Moses said it is a rod. Moses has been carrying that rod for over forty years (his shepherd’s staff) but he never knew that will be one of the instruments he will need for his breakthrough.
Most of us are just like Moses, there are potentials in us we don’t even realize we have which might just be key to open the door we have been knocking, in order words whatever we need to succeed in life have already been deposited in us, we just need to find that thing. We all have different abilities through which lies the breakthrough we have been looking for but because those ideas come like small thoughts, or even passions we tend to ignore them and focus on our “8-5” believing that is the way.
We all want to sit an air-conditioned office, smartly dressed, looking sharp and tight, which as far as am concerned there is nothing wrong with, after all nobody want to suffer. This is the life meant for some and they find satisfaction in it, but for some that is not the case, that controlled environment is not meant for them and if they keep staying there, one vital ingredient that may be missing for them is called FULFILLMENT, without which we feel caged, in bondage and stock where we are, filled with regrets.
Getting formal education does not mean we must work in an office but our education should give us a unique advantage over to who are not educated and help us improve, give better quality and should stand us out where we can turn local standards into international standards.
Many graduate spend years looking for job, please let’s be sincere how many companies are recruiting and if they are, can they absorb all the graduates from our universities. Am sure the answer is NO. So the question to ask ourselves is what is my passion or potential and how can I develop it.
In my next post I will be writing on developing your potentials, but until then you might want to ask yourself this question. What do I have in my hands that can help me.
Remember God has deposited something vital in you, find out what that is.
